Why is rehabilitation important after returning from combat?
Returning from a combat zone and integrating into civilian life is a complex process that requires both physical rehabilitation and psychological support. According to statistics, one in five soldiers suffers from nervous and psychological disorders even in the absence of injuries. Among those who have injuries or amputations, it is one in three.
Symptoms of combat stress can manifest themselves in a variety of ways: through intrusive memories and reliving events, escapism, social isolation, increased vigilance and alertness, mood swings, irritability, sleep and concentration problems, feelings of guilt, longing, and hopelessness. These are natural psychological reactions to traumatic experiences, but if they last for several months and affect quality of life, it is important to seek help.
At U+ System, we take a comprehensive approach to rehabilitation, fostering a culture of mental health care. We help veterans realize their new identity, find meaning in new activities, create a safe environment, take care of their physical and mental health, and restore inner harmony through sports, creativity, and professional activity.

Seeking help is not a sign of weakness. It is a way to address red flags in a timely manner, mitigate the effects of stress, and safely return to an active social life.
