Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as the “Policy”) defines the procedure for collecting, using, storing, protecting, and disclosing the personal data of individuals who interact with the website of the NGO “Research Institute of Post-War Rehabilitation and Prosthetics ”U PLUS”
(EDRPOU code 45177363, hereinafter referred to as “NGO ”YU PLUS,“ ”Organization,“ or ”we”)
and our other information resources.
We adhere to the principles of legality, good faith, proportionality, and transparency in the processing of personal data, and we ensure their protection in accordance with the requirements of the Law of Ukraine “On the Protection of Personal Data” and the provisions of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), if applicable.
1. GENERAL PROVISIONS
1.1. This Policy applies to all personal data that Y PLUS receives from individuals (hereinafter referred to as “Users”) when using the website https://uplus.center, filling out online forms, making charitable contributions, submitting applications for participation in programs, communicating by email or through other communication channels.
1.2. By submitting their personal data, Users consent to its processing in accordance with this Policy. In cases where consent is not required, the Organization processes personal data on other legal grounds provided for by law.
1.3. The NGO “U PLUS” acts as the owner (controller) of personal data within the meaning of the Law of Ukraine “On the Protection of Personal Data.”
2. CATEGORIES OF PERSONAL DATA
The organization may process the following categories of personal data:
- Identification data: first name, last name, patronymic;
- Contact details: phone number, email address, postal address (if available);
- Financial data: information about the amounts, dates, and methods of charitable contributions (without storing bank details or payment cards);
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, date and time of access to the website, pages visited;
- Other data voluntarily provided by the User in requests, questionnaires, or forms.
The organization does not collect or process special categories of personal data (in particular, medical, biometric, or sensitive data), unless otherwise expressly provided by law or by the separate written consent of the personal data subject.
3. LEGAL BASIS AND PURPOSE OF DATA PROCESSING
3.1. The legal basis for the processing of personal data is:
- the consent of the personal data subject;
- the performance of contractual or pre-contractual obligations between the User and the Organization;
3.2. Personal data may be used for the following purposes:
- ensuring the functioning of the Website and feedback with Users;
- processing applications, appeals, questionnaires, and requests;
- administering charitable contributions and reporting to donors;
- organizing communication, informing about the Organization’s activities and its programs;
- maintaining statistical data on the Organization’s activities;
- complying with the requirements of Ukrainian legislation.
4. DISCLOSURE AND TRANSFER OF DATA
4.1. GO “U PLUS” does not transfer personal data to third parties, except in cases where:
- it is necessary to fulfill obligations to the User;
- the User’s consent to the transfer of personal data to third parties has been obtained;
- the transfer is carried out on the basis of Ukrainian legislation or the requirements of competent state authorities;
- the transfer is carried out to partners or contractors of the Organization who provide technical support or financial operations (within the framework of confidentiality agreements).
4.2. In the event of the transfer of personal data outside Ukraine, the NGO “U PLUS” ensures an adequate level of protection in accordance with the law.
5. DATA STORAGE AND PROTECTION
5.1. The term of storage of personal data is determined by the purpose of its processing, the requirements of the law, or the term of the User’s consent.
5.2. The organization takes all necessary technical and organizational measures to protect personal data from unauthorized access, loss, damage, alteration, or destruction.
5.3. Only authorized employees who are required to comply with confidentiality requirements have access to personal data.
6. RIGHTS OF DATA SUBJECTS
Data subjects have the right to:
- obtain information about the conditions of processing of their personal data;
- request correction, updating, or deletion of inaccurate or outdated data;
- withdraw consent to the processing of personal data;
- request restriction of processing or object to it;
- file a complaint with the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights

To exercise the rights of the personal data subject, the request should be sent to:

The organization considers requests within 30 calendar days from the date of receipt.
7. COOKIES AND ANALYTICS
GO “U PLUS” may use cookies and similar technologies to collect technical information in order to improve the functioning of the Website, analyze visits, and personalize content.
The user can independently restrict or disable the use of cookies in their browser settings.
8. CHANGES TO THE POLICY
The Organization reserves the right to update or change this Policy at any time.
The updated version shall come into force upon its publication on the Website.
The date of the last update is indicated at the top of the document.
