Prosthesis

The novel “Dobryak” by Kolesnik

How to climb Kilimanjaro with a prosthetic limb?

Roman is a Dynamo ultras fan who joined the ranks of the Azov Kyiv Special Operations Forces from the very first days of the full-scale invasion. The unit later became part of the Third Separate Assault Brigade.

In May 2022, during an assault on enemy positions, Roman came under tank fire and lost his leg. But his story is not about loss. It is about strength, endurance, and new heights.
After the amputation, Roman underwent prosthetics at U+ System. He quickly adapted to an active life and sports on a prosthesis, and as he himself says, now the possibilities are almost limitless. And that’s no exaggeration.
In the summer of 2024, Roman made a solo hike through the Carpathians, raising 1 million hryvnia for charity. And in February 2025, together with the Second Breath project, he climbed to the top of Africa — Kilimanjaro.

But the mountains were just the beginning. Upon his return, “Dobryak” entered the ring and took part in a professional boxing tournament. Today, he proves that strength of spirit, high-quality prosthetics, and team support make even the seemingly impossible possible.

One percent for life:

recovery from chest injury

Vladislav Nechaienko is a soldier who underwent rehabilitation at U+ System.

He began his career at the age of 17 when he enrolled in the Taras Shevchenko Military Institute. His first combat experience began during the Revolution of Dignity.

After receiving his officer’s rank, Vlad continued his service. In 2022, near Lysychansk, he was seriously wounded — over a hundred pieces of shrapnel in his body, loss of an arm, months in intensive care.

Doctors gave him only a one percent chance of survival.

The U+ System team performed more than 20 operations. Today, he has not only recovered but has also returned to service. In August 2023, in cooperation with the German Seeger Center, we installed a modern bionic prosthesis.
